Passion Project

I was away on the day Passion Project was explained, I heard that Digital World sounded good so that's what I chose. We have made an Augmented Reality Sandbox, I had never heard of this before going to this class. Augmented Reality Sandbox is a hands-on sandbox exhibit combined with 3D visualization. All you have to do is mould the sand and the landscape changes to what you've made. Some of us built the sandbox and some of us done the digital side of things, like getting the software to work etc. In the end, it did not run properly due to the pc's not being powerful enough. out of the three sandboxes made two are portable and one sandbox is stationary. We will need to use a more powerful pc to run the software. Apart from that, it was a success, we have the wooden sandbox created and the building side of things is done. I'm looking forward to seeing it all work. Overall the experience was good but hopefully next time the project will be more successful.

Technology is responsible for most of our problems today.

Introduction
Me and my group have been trying to come up with a solution to prevent agricultural pests. We chose to include in our solution something using AI and motion sensing elements to it.

Reflection 
We came up with an idea to use 3d printing to make a cost efficient product. Even though we had these ideas we, as you can see above, didn't really make something at a high standard yet.

DTE Game

Introduction
Me and my group have been working on a game in digital technologies. We were making a pixel side scrolling game but unfortunately we have have lacked on finishing this in the required time.

In our group we were all working on different aspects to finish this game. My main role is to write the story, Anton was doing the art and Hussain was doing the coding.

Reflection
A
Over the time I learnt a bit about coding, and how to code.  I know this because I have past a certain amount of challenges on applab.
B
I don't think we all contributed as much as we could of. We did not contribute for things like someone being away which affected the work been done. Our group worked well but could of worked better.
C
We did not finish, I think we could have done a lot better if we planned more ahead and cooperated more efficiently. I think that if we could have more time to develop we would be more successful.

Performance Evaluation

In music our group performed the once we were warriors theme song. Our performance went pretty bad, we were playing at different times and some of us didn't know how to play it properly. I was not phased by the audience. I think our grade was achieved which i think was generous. I think that if we didn't just wing it and practised more it could of been a lot better of a performance.

Success in sport is all about winning.

In social studies we have chosen an Egyptian god to individually research about.I have chosen Horus the son of Isis and Osiris. Horus is one of earliest and most important Egyptian gods. Horus was originally portrayed as having a falcon or hawk head. Horus is worshipped as a sun god and creator of the sky. His right eye represents the sun and his left eye represents the moon.

Technology

Technology changes a lot, recently I have noticed how quickly technology has progressed. Technology has changed to make our lives more entertaining and efficient. Technology helps us with work from the cars 30 years ago to the way we wash our clothes and the way we are taught in schools. Nowadays we have things like Fortnite, phones and TV's to keep us being inside and being fat. These are just some good things about technology.

make. We are choosing to make a game with a retro feel.

Reflection                                                                                                                                              We used Coggle and Padlet to write down our plans, they were both easy to use and it was good that we could import images to help emphasise our point. I liked how you can move around the branches on Coggle and I like how you can place text boxes to write in. I think our team work would be a lot better if everyone contributed and it wasn't one person doing most of the work. My group didn't contribute much, I say this because on this picture above I done most of the work. I think if we keep on task and communicate we will be able to turn these ideas into a game which someone could enjoy. I think this game will work, I like our ideas and if we keep working on this game it will should come out as a good finished project.

Recently we have been researching about Ergonomics. We were tasked to make an info graph about the topic, These are my results.

Reflection
From my research i found out that there are lots of different ways to improve ergonomics. I liked using Venngage, it was pretty easy to use and i got the hang of it quickly.

Slave Trade Triangle Map

What is the slave trade triangle?
It is the slave trade system in the Atlantic area that operated from the late 16th to the early 19th centuries, carrying slaves, cash and crops as well as other goods.

What is the first passage?
The First Passage was from Europe to Africa. The cargo on this passage was guns and weapons. 

What is the middle passage?
The Middle Passage was were the slaves were shipped and sold for materials.

What is the third passage?
All the Cotton, Tobacco and other products are put back on ships and sent to Europe. Once the ships get to Europe, they are sold. Then more guns and weapons are purchased.

Explain the feeling that you get when you listen to these songs?
I like the song, but when i listen to the lyrics it makes me angry and annoyed that they were put in slavery.

The songs explain how the slaves felt and the difficult conditions.

10Mn Class Treaty

We have a treaty to set some boundaries or rules.
We signed it to say we agree with these rules and should respect them.
The class treaty and the treaty of Waitangi are similar in the sense that they both are agreed rules which are signed. Although they aren't the same rules, and they do not have the same level of importance.
